Sigal Haimov

Dr. Sigal Haimov is a therapist, victim specialist and training expert. She is a trauma and resilience expert, with unique and diverse background on phone interventions and remote care, dedicated to promoting victim-centered approach and trauma-informed care.

Sigal worked in ELI – Israel Association for Child Protection, where she managed the Hotline and its volunteers. She also served as Program Director, developing educational materials and workshops, and delivering training and supervision to mental health professionals and supporting victims of domestic violence.

In 1997, she became a founding member of NATAL – Israel Trauma and Resiliency Center. She is the founder and former Director of NATAL’s Helpline and the one who developed its unique model.

In recent years, Sigal served as NATAL’s Director of Professional Programs and Models Development, leading the global collaboration of NATAL in the US, including cultural adaption, model designing, recruitment, training and ongoing supervision to staff and volunteers.

During the last 30 years, she was involved in designing and managing several helplines.

Currently, Sigal volunteers with Victim Support Europe, the International Network for Victims of Terrorism and Mass Violence (INVICTM), and a member of the Advisory Panel of the EU Centre of Expertise for Victims of Terrorism.
