Victim Support Europe works in many ways to help victims across Europe.
- We carry out advocacy work on victims’ rights, develop policies and monitor rights at the national level.
- We help national organisations to develop their own capacity to help victims through training, workshops, advice on European laws.
- We help co-ordinate victim support services for victims abroad and help direct victims to their local victim support organisations.
There’s much to do and much more we’d love to do. You can help us make a real difference to the lives of millions of people every year. Whether you only have a few minutes, whether or not you have specialist knowledge and skills, whether you can offer €1 or €1000, there are many ways you can make a difference:
Membership of VSE is open to all organisations and all individuals in Europe and beyond. Depending on the type of organisation you belong to, or if you are an individual, you can join either as a Full or Associate member or as a Supporter of VSE. Your membership enables VSE grow in strength and expertise and will allow you to access to a wide range of services as well as an extensive network.
Victim Support Europe is largely funded by the European Commission and by Membership fees. However, we would like to do much more to help victims across Europe. As a Not for Profit, we rely on your generous donations and sponsorships to help improve our services and to deliver new projects.
Whether you have a few minutes, or a few hours, or have time to work with us regularly, every moment helps, and we’d love to hear from you. You can help us in many ways, including with translation, news monitoring, media campaigns, new projects, developing technologies for victims, helping with videos or photography, with whatever experience and specialism you can offer. We are always looking to improve the way we help victims and, with your input, we can make a difference!
VSE’s internship program provides a wide range of opportunities for students and recent graduates who intend to work in a NGO and in the field of victims’ rights. We offer paid, full-time, 6-month internship in our head office in Brussels.
