VSE supports EU, and world-wide, organisations working in victim services.
Although VSE does not provide direct support to victims, it operates a referral system as a way to coordinate victims and the national support services. Most importantly, VSE has a role as an advocacy organisation and seeks to influence policy by raising awareness among policymakers and the public about the needs of crime victims.
