Dear VSE members, partners and collaborators
Due to the serious and on-going Covid-19 outbreak, Victim Support Europe in consultation with Weisser Ring, international and local authorities, has decided to reschedule its Annual Conference 2020 in Berlin.
We realize that this may come as a disappointment to conference delegates, sponsors, supporters, collaborators and visitors. With the theme “30 years: Celebrating our past. Creating hope for the future”, the Conference had already (as of end-February) attracted confirmations of attendance from speakers and participants. The decision to reschedule was therefore a difficult one, driven by our responsibility to ensure the best interests of all those concerned, and particularly their good health. Our prime consideration was the safety and wellbeing of all those who would have attended VSE’s Annual Conference in Berlin this year.
We are monitoring the situation closely and will be announcing the new dates (in the period of October -December 2020) based on global developments as they unfold. Regular updates on the developments and the conference will be made through our website (victimsupport.eu), the conference website (https://2020.vse-conference.eu/) Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and LinkedIn sites.
We will inform all the conference delegates who have registered about the refund process within the 10-days time.
We will also soon be contacting the conference participants regarding arrangements due to the rescheduling of the event. Our sincere apologies for any inconvenience caused.
We look forward to your continued support. Rest assured that we, together with our partners, remain resolute in working towards successfully organising this important 30th anniversary event in the 2020 calendar.
Best regards,
Victim Support Europe’s team
