The project „Victim-centered Approach to Improving Support Services – VICATIS“ has been concluded. The project was coordinated by the Croatian Law Centre, and implemented in partnership between the following organizations and institutions: Croatian Law Centre, Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Croatia, and Office for Human Rights and the Rights of National Minorities of the Republic of Croatia (HR); Patent Association (HU); Centre for Legal Resources (RO); Association for Nonviolent Communication, and Peace Institute (SI). It has been funded by the European Union’s Justice Programme (2014-2020) and co-financed in Croatia by the Croatian Government Office for Cooperation with NGOs.

During 18 months of implementation of numerous activities, the general objectives of the project were to improve understanding of the impact of current regulation, procedures, and institutional framework on the victims of crime, to contribute to advanced regulatory, procedural and institutional framework relevant to effective and coherent application of the Victims’ Directive. Finally, the project team produced tools supporting the realisation of the right to information and referral to support services.

The main results of the project – some of them in English – are available at the following link.
