By March 15, 2021April 6th, 2021News, Top Story

Our Call for contributions for VSE Annual Conference Side Events 2021 is now open!

We are inviting inspiring and inspired speakers to contribute to our conference by conducting an online side event: a 1-1,5 hour workshop/presentation/educative game/masterclass + 30 min for Q&A – which, depending on the subject could be conducted by one presenter or split between two or three speakers.

About the conference:

This year’s conference is devoted to celebrating the 3 decades of victim support community in Europe and will be called “Transforming victim support: from dream to reality”. We will bring together the co-founders, partners and members of VSE to reflect upon the progress done by support workers during the last 3 decades and to present innovative approaches to developing comprehensive generic and specialist victim support services for the years to come.

With this in mind, this year’s Conference will explore the history of victims’ rights in Europe, the changing landscape for support of victims and the future of victims’ rights in Member States.

When is the conference?

The Side Events will take part on the conference’s second day, on May 20th 2021, from 15.00 to 17.00 CET.

This year’s potential side events themes:

  • Supporting victims across sectors
  • Specific groups of victims (with priorities to victims of gender-based violence, victims of online crimes, victims of hate crimes and victims of terrorism)
  • Victims in an international context
  • Setting up and developing support services
  • Unreported crime and safe justice

What should I do next?

If you are interested in leading a workshop, please complete a short speaker form. If successful our conference team will follow up to ensure you make the best of our pre-show communications to promote your attendance at the event.
