VSE Map of Impact 2026 - EU Countries

When people ask what Victim Support Europe does, the answer can sound abstract. We support organisations that help victims of crime across the EU and beyond. We connect victims to national services and advocate for stronger policies by raising awareness of victims’ needs. Through research, knowledge sharing, and capacity building, we work to strengthen victims’ rights in Europe and internationally.

But what does that actually look like in practice?
This interactive map brings the answer to life. It shows the concrete difference we make on the ground in 2026 - through projects, campaigns, training, capacity-building, and our policy and advocacy work at the EU level. Together, these actions help strengthen national victim support systems and push for effective EU legislation.

Because victims will only be truly supported across all 27 Member States when strong EU laws are matched by comprehensive and effective national victim support systems.

The map highlights the impact of VSE's ongoing projects - including Crossing Protect, OSPREY, INVICTUS, 2G4V, IMPACT and BRIDGE - which contribute to strengthening victim support systems, improving professional capacity, and advancing victims’ rights across Europe. More information about these projects is available on the VSE projects webpage.

In addition, the map features the countries that have signed the VSE Pledge for a European Victims' Helpline, supporting the vision of one number, one standard, and equal support for every victim across Europe.
