
Marina Kazakova
As Junior Communications Manager at VSE, Marina Kazakova leads strategic communications planning, knowledge dissemination, and outreach across Europe and globally. Her role encompasses managing both internal and external communications, including media relations, public relations, corporate messaging, and digital outreach. She works closely with members’ national teams to adapt EU-level communication strategies to national contexts, ensuring relevance and impact at the local level.
Before joining VSE in 2018, Marina served as Communications Officer at the European Association of Institutions in Higher Education (EURASHE) and as a journalist at The Word Magazine in Brussels. A newsperson at heart, Marina sees storytelling as the binding thread throughout her career.
Marina holds a master’s degree in public relations from the State Linguistic University of Nizhny Novgorod, complemented by an advanced Master in Transmedia from LUCA School of Arts. She also earned a Doctorate in Arts from KU Leuven/LUCA School of Arts.
Beyond her professional accomplishments, Marina is an active member of INSL, the International Network for the Study of Lyric, and an independent postdoctoral researcher at LUCA School of Arts/KU Leuven.
