The Cyprus Third Age Observatory is a non-profit organisation established in 2015 to advance the rights, dignity, and well-being of older people across Cyprus. As a national actor working to support elderly victims of abuse, violence, and exploitation, the Observatory delivers a broad range of services, including legal, psychological, and emotional support, information and referral, and liaison with the justice system and social services.
Specialising in cases involving cybercrime, hate crime, domestic violence, financial exploitation, and elder abuse, the Observatory supports approximately 250 victims per year. Its services are delivered by a multidisciplinary team of legal experts, psychologists, and trained volunteers, all working from an anthropocentric, rights-based approach. The organisation also works with and on behalf of persons with disabilities and cooperates closely with disabled persons’ organisations.
