Victim and Witness Support Service Croatia was awarded by the Office for Cooperation with NGOS with the award – Communication Support for socially useful programs of NGOS. As a part of the award, financial and communication support will be helpful for further informing the public about the work and existence of the 116 006 helpline by the end of the year.
In addition to this, in the week in which the National Day of Combating Violence Against Women (September 22) was marked, Victim and Witness Support Service Croatia with the support of the Ministry of Justice and Public Administration and the Representation of European commission in Croatia, organized the conference “Yesterday, today, tomorrow – the needs of victims and witnesses” at which was presented to the public the amendments to the Directive on Victims’ Rights, but also the publication “116 006: Change begins by call” which offers an overview of the results of the work of the National Call Center for victims of crime– 116 006 helpline, which has been declared the national line for victims of gender-based violence.
