APAV Celebrates 35 Years by the Victim’s Side

During this year of 2025, APAV celebrates 35 years of commitment to victims, remembering all the achievements and the countless lives positively impacted by its mission. The year is dedicated to honouring and reflecting on the organisation’s key accomplishments over the past decades, while also celebrating a future of continued success.

As part of the anniversary celebrations, APAV launched special core campaigns:

  • • “Open Doors”, a symbolic campaign featuring photographs of the doors of APAV’s local services across the country. These images represent the safe spaces that welcome victims every day, reminding us that APAV’s doors are always open.
  • The anniversary is also a moment to celebrate the strong sense of belonging within the organization – “wearing the APAV jersey” has become a symbol of dedication, empathy, and professional excellence. APAV’s network of staff, volunteers, and supporters embody this spirit daily.
  • Another highlight of the celebrations is “Partners of APAV”, a series of short video testimonials from institutions and organizations who collaborate with APAV. These voices share their experiences, underline the importance of partnership, and reinforce the collective effort needed to improve victim support.

Throughout the year, APAV has also partnered with institutions to organize concerts, art exhibitions, and sporting events, where participants contribute through solidarity donations. These initiatives not only raise funds for APAV’s mission but also bring communities together around art, culture, and wellbeing.

Looking ahead, APAV is preparing to close this celebratory year with new activities and campaigns in the final months of 2025, continuing to innovate and strengthen its mission: to stand by all those affected by crime, every step of the way.
