Congratulations to VSE’s new Board!

Victim Support Europe has concluded its 2021 elections and would like to thank all of our members for their participation.

Next to a new president, VSE’s Annual General Meeting, held on May 26, 2021, also included the elections for 6 other Board positions. We therefore extend warm congratulations to Petra Klein, Jérôme Moreau, Carmen Rasquete, Frida Wheldon, Rosa Jansen and Tobias Koertner. 

Petra Klein has been elected for the position of VSE’s Vice President. Petra Klein has been a member of the board of Weisser Ring Germany since 2010 and has been in charge of Weisser Ring Germany’s branch office in Oldenburg, Lower Saxony since 2009. As the head of a police negotiation team until 2008, she resolved cases involving hostage taking, kidnapping, blackmail, and threat management in cooperation with international agencies. Congratulation, Petra Klein!

 

 

 

 

 


Jérôme Moreau
has also been elected for the position of Vice President. Jérôme Moreau has been the Treasurer and Spokesperson of the Federation France Victimes since 2019. As the President of the victim support association «Association Nivernaise d’Aide aux Victimes d’Infractions» since 2003, he has been part of France Victimes’ Board and a delegate to France Victimes’ President regarding ministerial and institutional public relations since 2016. Congratulations, Jérôme Moreau!

 

 

Carmen Rasquete has been elected for the position of Treasurer. Carmen Rasquete is Secretary General to the Portuguese Association for Victim Support (APAV) since 2013. As a result of her position, Carmen is responsible for APAV’s administration and management, from strategic planning to establishing protocols with relevant stakeholders, and including management tasks such as human resources management, financial coordination and monitoring of the whole organisation’s activities. Congratulations, Carmen Raquete!

 

 


Frida Wheldon
has been elected for the position of Board Member. Frida Wheldon is the Development Director for Legal Affairs within Victim Support Sweden, where she oversees the Witness Service available in 54 criminal courts. She has 15 years’ experience advocating for stronger rights for victims and working to improve strategies and service delivery to victims and witnesses of crime. Frida Wheldon has worked with several different victim support organisations, including as first Executive Director for Victim Support Asia. Congratulations, Frida Wheldon!

 

 



Rosa Jansen
has also been elected for the position of Board Member. Rosa Jansen is the President of the Board of Directors of Victim Support The Netherlands and the Foundation Restorative Justice. Prior to this, from 2008 till 2017, she has been appointed as President of the Board of Directors of the Dutch Training Institute for the Judiciary in Utrecht. Furthermore, Rosa Jansen was President of the Steering Committee of the European Judicial Training Network (EJTN) in Brussels.

 

 

Finally, Tobias Koertner has been re-elected for the position of Board Member. Tobias Koertner is a psychologist/psycho-social counsellor and team leader for Victim Support at Weisser Ring Austria. In this role, he is responsible for leading and coordinating the victim support teams of Austria, as well as their victim emergency hotline. He is also a representative of Weisser Ring Austria at the Radicalisation Awareness Network. Congratulations, Tobias Koertner!
