January Update from AdVIC – Advocates for Victims of Homicide

Memorial Service

Every second year, a memorial service whose primary purpose is to remember and honour all victims of homicide is organised by AdVIC. It is a moving ceremony when families bring pictures, poem, mementos and light candles to remember their loved ones. The courage and very special bound between all those families help make the memorial service a very special occasion.

This past September, we had a beautiful ceremony, and would like to extend our sincere gratitude to all in attendance, and hope that the ceremony brought them some comfort.

Awareness video
We would like to extend our immense gratitude to the families involved in the video for bravely telling their stories. It is through their words that people will start to understand the complexities that families are faced with after a homicide. A special thanks to the amazing film crew that made this possible. Without them, these videos would never have been made.
