Victim Support Europe is pleased to invite you to the National Event of the NO-OBLIVION project, an open half-day gathering where you can explore the project’s achievements, take part in an engaging discussion on the future of universal justice in a world facing ongoing conflicts and human rights challenges, and join an interactive workshop to shape what comes next. Whether you are a justice professional, student, artist, activist, policymaker, or simply someone who believes in the power of memory and accountability, this event is for you.
For the past two years, the NO-OBLIVION Project has worked across Europe to ensure victims’ stories are preserved, paths to justice are explored, and remembrance is passed on to future generations. By bringing together survivors, young researchers, legal professionals, artists, and many others, the project has shown how memory, justice, and creativity can strengthen each other. From youth-led journals and intergenerational podcasts to legal tools and artistic exhibitions, NO-OBLIVION has highlighted the powerful intersection of culture, art, and law in safeguarding human rights and the rule of law.
This National Dissemination Event is both a celebration of results and a forward-looking forum to discuss how the project’s legacy will continue. It is part of a wider series across Romania, Portugal, Germany, Belgium, Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Serbia, and Kosovo, ensuring that NO-OBLIVION’s lessons contribute to advancing universal jurisdiction, drawing on experiences from past conflicts, and applying those insights to strengthen justice and accountability for the future.
