In spring 2022, Victim Support Europe (VSE) launched the Victims’ Rights Communicators Network (VRComNet) to jointly explore approaches to advancing a positive victims’ rights narrative in Europe.
Victims’ Rights Communicators Network (VRComNet) is a group of experts in communication working on victims’ rights from VSE member and partner organisations. The effective communication of victims’ rights is an important area of work for VSE, given that advancing victims’ rights is one of the core functions of our organisation. On the Victim Support Hub, we provide a platform for communication specialists of our member organisations to build their capacities and exchange expertise on effective victims’ rights communications.
On the 4th of May, the members of the network have an opportunity to attend an online workshop “Unlocking the potential of communication tools” conducted by Aleksandra Anikina, Communications Officer at the European Institute for Crime Prevention and Control (HEUNI) in collaboration with Lauri Hovi, Head of Communications at Victim Support Finland (RIKU).
The goal of this workshop is to help participants to learn about new tools and techniques for effective communication.
We’ll be exploring the power of positivity and human storytelling. You’ll discover how to infuse your messaging with optimism and hope, while still shining a light on important human rights issues. We will also discuss how to craft compelling stories that resonate with your audience and inspire action.
In the second part of the workshop, we’ll be diving into the tools and techniques that will help you be more efficient and creative in your daily work. From social media management to content creation, we’ll explore the latest technologies and strategies that can help you reach your goals more effectively.
