80 members in 35 countries – primarily in Europe as well as in the US, New Zealand, the Middle East, and Asia – are members of VSE.
Our membership is made up of victim support organisations, directly providing services to victims of crime, as well as governmental institutions and educational entities, who work on ensuring the fundamental rights of victims of crime.
VSE provides a direct link between frontline victim support, where the victim’s experience is most visible, and the European level, where policies relating to victims are deliberated. VSE engages its members in thematic working groups, based on our ongoing review and analysis of needs and opportunities within the victim support community.
In the future, we hope to expand our membership to enable more victims of crime to actively participate in relevant European Union, United Nations, and Council of Europe policy development and enhance VSE representation as the coordinated voice of victims of crime in Europe and beyond.
