Prosecutor General’s Office Ukraine

The mission of the Prosecutor’s Office in Ukraine, particularly during 2023-2024, focuses on strengthening its capacity to effectively handle complex legal and human rights challenges in the context of ongoing conflict and international scrutiny. To achieve this, the office is engaged in several key training and development initiatives, supported by international and national partners.

The Office’s Coordination Centre for Support of Victims and Witnesses (CCSVW) provides different types of services to victims, including offering advice, emotional support, information, practical assistance, psychological support, and referrals to other relevant organisations or victim support organisations. The CCSVW is a reliable and unique mechanism for supporting victims and witnesses, preserving the memory of war crimes through a people-centred approach, and facilitating effective collaboration between the state and non-state sectors, whose status and powers are defined by law.
