Since Hurricane Irma, which affected the French “Antilles” in early September 2017, France Victimes with its local associations has set up a project supported by the government and the Fondation de France.
The project is to help the victims of Saint Barthelémy and Saint-Martin everywhere.
France Victimes has mobilized teams of professionals in Paris, in the support cell within the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, in Paris airports to receive victims from Guadeloupe, within the 08Victimes call center, but also everywhere in France where more than 40 local associations follow and help the families of victims.
In the island of Saint-Martin too teams take turns to help the victims and support the association Trait d’Union, new member France Victims for Saint Martin.
Field work and the reorganization of victim assistance are carried out under difficult conditions, but with ever greater successes, to the benefit of the affected populations and professionals who have also been affected.
