HOW TO GET THERE?
If you arrive by plane
Take the Airport Express (bus line 12) from Brussels International (Zaventem) to the stop “Gare du Luxembourg (Luxemburg B)“. The huge buildings of the European Parliament next to the square (Place du Luxembourg) cannot be missed. The stairs underneath the second building will lead you directly to Rue Wiertz Straat. Turn left. The Bavarian Representation is situated on the right side of the street. Please ring the bell at the gate (Rue Wiertz Straat 77).
TAXI
Taxis with a taximeter are permanently available in front of the arrivals hall at Brussels Airport. The fare from the airport to the conference venue is normally around € 45. Licensed taxis can be recognized by the blue and yellow emblem.
If you arrive by train
Choose the South Station (Bruxelles-Midi/Brussel-Zuid) as your destination. Take the Metro, Line 2 or 6 – direction “Simonis (Elisabeth)” to the 5th stop “Trône/Troon”, exit “Rue du Luxembourg / Luxemburgstraat”. Once on the surface, go left until this street ends in a square. The huge buildings of the European Parliament cannot be missed. The stairs underneath the second building will lead you directly to Rue Wiertz Straat. Turn left. The Bavarian Representation is situated on the right side of the street. Please ring the bell at the gate (Rue Wiertz Straat 77).
If you arrive by car from direction Aachen
Continue on A44/E40 in direction Brussels Center (not Ring!) following the sign leading to the European Institutions. You will automatically get through a tunnel on to Avenue de Cortenberg. / Kortenberglaan This street ends in a roundabout, called Rond Point Schuman. Take the second right in the roundabout (Rue de la Loi / Wetstraat). At the first occasion, turn left (Rue de Trèves / Trierstraat). At the next light turn left on Rue Belliard. At the next occasion turn right (Entrance parking garage European Parliament). A left turn will lead you automatically on to Rue Wiertz. The Bavarian Representation is situated directly in front of you. Please ring the bell at the gate (Rue Wiertzstraat 77). There are no parking spaces on the premises!
Should you use GPS to get to us, please note that the street name could be registered in the French version (Rue Wiertz) or Dutch version(Wiertzstraat). Some navigation systems and maps also list this part of the street as Rue de Remorqueur / Remorqueurstraat.
From direction Luxemburg
Take E 411 from Luxemburg via Namur to the exit Brussels Ring. After a tunnel you continue on E40, direction Center / European Institutions. You will automatically get through a tunnel on to Avenue de Cortenberg /Kortenberglaan. This street ends in a roundabout, called Rond Point Schuman. From train station Gare de Midi :
There is a direct train departing from the Brussels Southern Train Station (called Brussel Zuid or Brussels Midi) and arriving at Brux./Brus.-Luxemb.
The journey takes approximately 20 min.
BRUSSEL-LUXEMBURG/BRUXELLES-LUXEMBOURG train station is only 400 meters away from the conference venue.
