As Junior Policy Officer, Áine is a key support to the Policy and Projects Teams here at VSE. She will help with development of policy guidance, recommendations, and expert advice on victims’ rights, needs, and services. Áine will play a role in the 2Gether4Victims Project among other key activities

Before joining VSE in March 2024, Áine worked with the Irish Consortium on Gender Based Violence (ICGBV) as the Acting Coordinator and Policy and Research Officer in Ireland, and UN Women Liberia as the Interagency Gender Support Officer where she gained experience in UN and EU advocacy, research, membership coordination, and project implementation on human rights and gender inequalities in a range of international countries. Originally from Ireland, Áine completed her Master’s Degree in Gender, Violence, and Conflict with University of Sussex as well as her undergraduate in Politics and International Relations with Sociology with Unversity College Dublin.
