Senior Project Officer

Wali joined VSE as Senior Project Officer in 2023. He has more than 20 years of extensive experience in Project Cycle Management (PCM), contract management and budgets. At VSE, he oversights project quality assurance, reporting, donor relations, M&E+L; communication visibility; funding opportunities, partnership; organizational Annual Action Plans (AAP), strategic planning and development process. 

Wali holds a BA (Social Science/Communication) from Balkh University, he served as a lecturer at the same university (2000-03) Cinematography/Visual Arts.

He started his professional career in Development Cooperation with International Organisations in 2001. He worked for the EU Delegation to Afghanistan (2009-2021) as a Senior Programme Manager. He managed several flagship programmes, the most famous one is the Citizens’ Charter National Priority Programme a multi donor initiative, financially administrated by the World Bank’s Afghanistan Reconstruction Trust Fund (ARTF).
