💡 Background information about La Maison de Femmes:

La Maison des Femmes is a unique centre providing support for women in difficulty or victims of violence. Attached to the Delafontaine Hospital, it offers multidisciplinary support through a one-stop shop, where healthcare caregivers and professionals from the police, justice and legal sectors, as well as therapists, artists and sportspeople, work together to support women on their path to recovery and independence.

The goal of this medical and social unit is to provide practical and comprehensive assistance to women experiencing difficulty or violence. It is also active in the areas of prevention, education and public health.

La Maison des Femmes is composed of nearly 80 people committed to combating violence against women. It is a unique model, with recognised expertise and know-how, bringing together professionals from different fields, spread across the four specialised care units: the Sexual Health and Abortion Unit, the Female Genital Mutilation Unit, the Domestic, Intrafamilial, Sexual and Sexist Violence Unit, and the Coralis Unit for victims of sexual assault and rape.
