On 7th February White Circle Croatia represented its volunteering programme on SOS free phoneline 0800 63 29 in Youth Club Association Split. In the pleasant and interactive atmosphere of the Youth Club Association of White Circle Croatia, legal advisor Matea Anić and psychosocial counselor Dijana Puljiz on this topic presented the volunteer program of the White Circle Croatia through the involvement of volunteers on the free SOS line for help victims. White Circle Croatia started with project co-funded by Ecumenical Initiative of Women ˝With Care for Others to New Beginnings ” on 15th The project is aimed at empowering and providing psychological assistance to unemployed women victims of domestic violence, free legal counseling on criminal or misdemeanor, labor and social rights, and providing support for the promotion of employability through direct support in terms of vocational training for career care and guidance for active participation in the labor market.

As part of EC Justice project ˝Rights, Support, Protection and Compensation for victims of crime˝ on February 22nd, we marked the European Day for the Protection of Victims of Criminal Offenses. The idea is that in all EU member states on a case-by-case basis through professional and educational public events on the principle of mutual co-ordination of all responsible stakeholders, wider citizen sensitization is carried out on this topic.

White Circle Croatia participated in a conference in Zagreb organized by Documenta aimed at presenting to the public the National Strategy for the Development of Support Systems for Victims and Witnesses in Croatia for the period from 2016 to 2020.

Handbook for victims of criminal offence as part of EC Justice project ˝Rights, Support, Protection and Compensation for victims of crime˝ was formally published on 12th White Circle Croatia along with partners Documenta- center for dealing with past, Association for Peace, Non- violence and Human Rights from Osijek and Victim and witness support service from Vukovar.

Our psychosocial advisor Dijana Puljiz was one of the speakers on public forum ˝ Say NO to violence amongst youth˝ held by Youth Club Association Split as on of the experts for violence among children and young.

In May, on 17th and 18th, our volunteers were part of conference ˝ All together against poverty˝ organized by Association Most that is specialized for problem of homelessness sponsored by Ministry for demography, family, youth and social politics, City of Split and with financial support of National foundation for development of civil society.
