Victim Support Europe and the entire BeneVict consortium are pleased to invite you to the final conference of the BeneVict project, which will take place on 20 February 2025 at the beautiful and exclusive Renaissance Brussels Hotel in Brussels.
The BeneVict project, co-funded by the European Union, has been dedicated to advancing the rights of crime victims across the EU. This initiative aims to create a solid evidence base to shape the future of victims’ rights, while building a broad EU-wide partnership to improve the lives of victims. The project focuses on supporting the European Union and its Member States in their efforts to implement the EU Victims’ Rights Strategy, while also advocating for greater investment in victim support services.
What to expect at the conference:
- Research Findings: Discover key insights from a comprehensive EU-wide study that assessed how the Victims’ Rights Directive has been implemented in 26 EU Member States and engage into a discussion around the future of victims’ rights in the EU.
- Cost-Benefit Analysis: Learn about the methodology used to quantify the benefits of victim support services, along with findings from a cost-benefit analysis based on data from selected EU countries.
- Future of Victims’ Rights: Engage in a discussion on the future look of a Victims’ Rights Index that ranks Member States according to their performance regarding the adherence to victims’ rights.
The conference will feature a range of prominent speakers, including European Commission representatives, policy makers, decision makers, and experts from victim support organisations.
