VSE Policy Update
On Monday, March 10th, Victim Support Europe (VSE) hosted the first EU NGO Roundtable of 2025, bringing together key partners to discuss critical topics, share best practices, and identify common priorities in the vital field of victim support. This year marks an important anniversary for VSE, underscoring the importance of continued collaboration and dedication to creating a sustainable future for victims across Europe.
The roundtable offered a unique opportunity to delve into pressing issues such as the ongoing revision of the Victims’ Rights Directive under the Polish Presidency of the Council of the European Union, the review of the EU Victims’ Rights Strategy, and the potential for future joint actions that can strengthen victim support networks across the continent.
14 organisations participated in this dynamic meeting, exchanging valuable knowledge and expertise. The discussions focused on shared priorities, latest developments in victims’ rights and support, and identified areas for further cooperation. The meeting also sparked insightful calls for information to deepen collaboration moving forward.
At VSE, we always find it inspiring to connect with our partners and learn from their experiences. Their insights are instrumental in shaping the future of victim support, and we look forward to continuing these essential conversations throughout the year.
