Save The Date: VSE Annual Autumn Conference

By August 2, 2019February 1st, 2021News

Save the date: VSE Annual Autumn Conference will be traditionally hosted in Brussels, this time at the Portuguese Permanent Representation to the European Union, on the 20th of November 2019!

The Conference is an international event bringing together the key players working with victims of crime. Between 100 and 150 participants from victim support organisations as well as practitioners, researchers, experts, academics, government officials and criminal justice officials attend annually.

This event will be the occasion to exchange best practices and experiences related to the many forms support that exist and how it is provided to victims. A varied group of speakers will provide a comprehensive analysis of the problem of crime and its impact on victims. It will point to the role the EU, businesses and support organisations must play in supporting victims of crime and the initiatives that are currently taken.

This year’s conference full-day programme will be followed by a fundraising gala event. Included in the event are a sit-down dinner with a live music and poetry show and dancing.

We will use the evening’s festivities to raise funds to support our ongoing projects that aim at helping implementing and monitoring victims’ rights, improving the delivery of local services, and develop new policies and practices.
