VSE Contribution to Public consultation supporting the evaluation and the impact assessment of Council Framework Decision 2008/841/JHA on the fight against organised crime

VSE submitted a contribution to the public consultation supporting the evaluation and impact of Council Framework Decision 2008/841/JHA on the fight against organised crime. The contribution highlighted the serious and often long-lasting impact of organised crime on victims, including intimidation, exploitation, trafficking, fraud and psychological harm. VSE stressed the need for EU responses to organised crime to better integrate victims’ rights, access to specialist support, protection from retaliation and meaningful participation in justice processes.
