Victim Support Europe (VSE) brought together EU institutions, national governments, victim support services, civil society organisations (CSOs) and key experts on the Violence Against Women and Domestic Violence Directive.
As the deadline for transposing the Directive approaches, the webinar explored progress across the EU, key implementation challenges, areas where further action is needed, and the experiences of victim support organisations.
Presentations from guest speakers provided an overview of victims’ rights frameworks in the EU, how national governments are implementing the Directive, and key experiences of CSOs supporting the transposition. Breakout sessions gave participants an opportunity to share their experiences, challenges and needs in relation to the transposition and practical application of the Directive.
