The Network and Partnerships Team has recently welcomed two new members to Victim Support Europe’s (VSE) Youth Ambassador Network (YAN), further strengthening young people’s involvement in VSE’s work to improve support for victims of crime across Europe.
One of our new Youth Ambassadors is a Latvian law student currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Law and Diplomacy at the Riga Graduate School of Law. Her academic background and interest in law bring a valuable perspective to the Network’s efforts to promote victims’ rights and strengthen youth participation.
Our second new Youth Ambassador is also involved in developing technology solutions to address sexual intimidation. She will be joining VSE’s Tech4Victims event as an exhibitor, presenting her tool and showcasing how technology can contribute to improving personal safety. Her work reflects the importance of involving young people not only in discussions about victim support, but also in developing practical, innovative solutions to the challenges they face.
Through the Youth Ambassador Network, VSE continues to create opportunities for young people to contribute their experiences, perspectives and expertise to victim-centred initiatives, policy discussions and technological innovation.
