Some of our staff and volunteers took part in Belfast’s annual Pride Parade on 4th August. We had a group walking in the parade, and also had a well-attended stand in the Pride Village, where we engaged with the public, handed out merchandise, and met the Lord Mayor of Belfast:
We launched our Victims’ Journey microsite on our website. This is a great resource for victims and witnesses, which explains the criminal justice system journey from crime to police investigation to court and beyond, detailing the process and the support available at each stage.
We have also taken on the administration of a project called the Aggression Related Trauma Project (ART). This offers talk therapy and creative arts therapy to children and young people aged 8-20 who have experienced physical, emotional, or sexual abuse. It is available to residents of the Northern Health and Social Care trust area of Northern Ireland.
