Thank you for making our first hybrid AGM a success!

By May 15, 2022News

We held our 2022 Annual General Meeting on Tuesday 10th of May and we were delighted to be able to have a social gathering ‘in real life’ at the Mediterranean Conference Centre in Valletta.

Levent Altan, VSE’s Executive Director, addressed the progress made in implementing the strategic agenda, highlighted the priorities for the upcoming months and reaffirmed the organisation’s long-term strategic focus on purposeful growth.

It was an emotional Annual General Meeting (AGM) for us as we said farewell, but not goodbye, to President Geraldine Hanna due to the appointment of Geraldine as the Victims of Crime Commissioner Designate for Northern Ireland. This new Commissioner  role will be challenging, but we know that Geraldine’s extensive experience and skills in working with victims of crime will contribute to a more cohesive, coordinated and victim centred criminal justice system in NI. We are confident she will prove an excellent appointment and wish her every success in her new role.

On behalf of the entire Board, we would like to thank our members for your continued support and engagement in VSE. It has been an absolute pleasure to meet you finally all in person (and some of you online) on the beautiful island of Malta!

Special thanks to Victim Support Agency for taking the time and energy to invest in our vision and in our event; your sponsorship is integral to our ability to serve our community.
