ENVR Autumn Expert Meeting 2022

Last week, VSE Deputy Director, Aleksandra Ivankovic was in Vienna on a double mission.

Aleksandra was invited by our partners – European Network for Victims’ Rights, to participate at their ENVR Autumn Expert Meeting and Seminar 2022, where she joined the representatives of more than a dozen EU Member State governments in discussing state of play in victims’ rights in Europe.

At the Seminar, Aleksandra particularly spoke about services for persons with disabilities. The Seminar was opened by Austrian Minister of Justice, Alma Zadic. Aleksandra used this opportunity to also talk to Minister Zadic about the most pertinent issues regarding victims’ rights in Austria.

Aleksandra also visited the offices of VSE Austrian member – Weisser Ring, where she continued the conversation on victims’ rights matters with Natascha Smertnig (the CEO) and Brigitta Pongratz (the Spokeperson).

Thanks to everyone for bringing their expertise around the table and our gratitude to ENVR for this engaging and fruitful event.
